The right accounting pro will soon enjoy the career potential offered by a long-successful name in CRE with more than $2 billion in assets across the country. These include destination retail and mixed-use properties that make a sizeable impact in their communities. The new Dallas-based property accountant will take charge of day-to-day accounting for a share of these Class-A assets while providing support for the firm’s senior financial leadership.
These duties will include budget preparation, financial reporting, month-end reports and accounts receivable recovery. This professional also will help property leadership with project set-up and the accounting for contractor service agreements. Other responsibilities will include CAM reconciliations and monitoring certificates of insurance. Broader analysis will include financial modelling and internal presentations.
This firm is looking for someone with at least five years of property accounting experience that includes budgeting, AP/AR recovery, CAM recovery, general ledger entries and an understanding of lease terminology. A bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred, as is proficiency with Kardin, MRI and Timberline software. The new property accountant will work independently in an organized fashion while handling multiple projects simultaneously. At the same time, he or she will have a knack for analytical thinking and the ability to keep pace in a fast-moving environment.
