The new property accountant will serve clients across multiple locations. A diverse range of responsibilities will include accounts payable, financial reporting, account reconciliations, cash-flow projections, sales tax returns and management fee calculations. This professional also will interact directly with tenants, maintaining legers and resolving disputes. Additionally, property managers will turn to the property accountant for assistance preparing annual budgets and tracking capital expenditures.

Accounting experience in commercial real estate will be essential. Candidates should bring at least four years in CRE, preferably in retail. They also should demonstrate the interpersonal and organizational skills needed to serve multiple properties. The job calls for knowledge or Yardi Voyager or MRI, as well as a solid grasp of year-end reconciliations and recovery.
