Join the permanent leadership of a growing company building great things in student housing. An organization responsible for more than $400 billion in projects since its inception needs superintendents at two levels of responsibility in Lubbock, Texas, and Fort Collins, Colo. Operating in more than 20 states, this closely held organization takes pride in retaining its employees over the long term and offers interesting projects that often incorporate mixed-use and new urban principals that go beyond traditional multifamily design.
Lead Construction Superintendent
This leader will take end-to-end ownership of complex projects. Duties will begin with scoping, resource planning and construction scheduling. He or she will ensure adherence to plans by closely monitoring subcontractor performance and resolving any and all related issues. As well, the lead superintendent will train and manage employees, including general superintendents. In addition to frequent inspections and responsibility for operational standards, he or she will contribute to the company’s broader strategic plans and system improvements.
General Construction Superintendents
Based in Lubbock and Fort Collins, these professionals will provide direct oversight of subcontractors while managing day-to-day work flow at job sites. This will include management of production requirements, time constraints, quality control, conformance to project plans and frequent progress reporting.
Superintendents at both levels will take ownership of worker safety at job sites. Candidates for these positions should demonstrate leadership, professionalism and attention to detail. This organization is looking for prior experience in multifamily, student housing or light commercial construction. The new superintendents also will bring familiarity with supply management, ADA requirements, project management, estimating and people management.
