Reporting directly to the division manager, he or she will oversee all vendor and materials management while supervising purchasing agents. This will include trade partner negotiations and product selection. The purchasing manager will take responsibility for the data integrity of the company’s homebuilding management system. As well, this professional will review closed homes for accurate job costing and search for ways to improve efficiency.
A minimum of two years in residential purchasing is required alongside two years as a manager. Candidates should have experience negotiating relevant contracts and a thorough understanding of building plans, materials and processes. This role also requires excellent organization and a knack for problem solving.
