He or she will take charge of all aspects of the development process, from market research into target opportunities to the coordination of projects’ designs, budgets and schedules. The new director will also be a deal maker, negotiating lease terms, purchase agreements and consultant contracts. Additionally, the successful candidate will act as the company’s primary liaison to the local government and business community while maintaining oversight of construction and a broad scope of additional project responsibilities.
Florida CRE experience is required, with multi-family, mixed-use or retail experience strongly preferred. This position calls for a bachelor’s or master’s degree alongside at least five years of related project coordination, including roles managing general contractors on jobs valued up to $10 million. Candidates should show prior success in scrutinizing potential acquisitions and investment opportunities. Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Office Suite is mandatory. More broadly, this company is looking for someone extremely adept at both internal and external communication, with demonstrated customer service skill and a talent for coordinating complex tasks.
