Southeast multi-family and CRE is hiring for a key position in its leadership. The new development director will have a hand in all aspects of the process. Reporting to the managing director of multi-family development, he or she will support current and pipeline projects, from site selection through lease-up. This position’s responsibilities and oversight are extensive. They include: due diligence, financial analysis, budgeting, site acquisition, investment package creation, contract negotiation, consultant management, contractor management, project proformas, lease negotiations and participation in associated approvals and public policy processes. In sum, this leader will direct the design, approval and implementation of high-value construction and redevelopment projects.
To do so, the firm expects candidates to bring at least 10 years in related positions and experience managing construction contracts up to $10 million. Multi-family experience is a must, with high-rise experience preferred. Additionally, candidates should show prior success in evaluating potential acquisitions and investment opportunities. An MBA or MRE degree is preferred, as is familiarity with Argus. Other requirements include a thorough understanding of projections, budgets, construction scheduling and Microsoft Project software. The successful candidate will also be entrepreneurial by nature and effective at presenting information in public and professional forums.
