A growing, privately held company with more than 35 years in business is looking for a strong manager to oversee its portfolio of residential properties in the Charlotte, N.C., region.

The position will oversee as many as 12 properties with 2,500 units, including the region’s communities in South Carolina. These are primarily class A and class B properties, with a handful of class C. Their staffs include about 75 employees who will fall under the successful candidate’s management.

This company needs someone who can demonstrate his or her significant knowledge of the residential rental market and an ability to maximize occupancy and financial performance. Candidates should also be skilled at managing managers, with an ability to attract and motivate quality people to oversee these properties day to day. The regional manager must be able to handle competing demands simultaneously and communicate clearly with others throughout the organization.
