Reporting to the area president, this financial executive will oversee financial planning, reporting, risk management and regulatory compliance while contributing to the due diligence of acquisitions and helping to refine the company’s strategy based on financial analysis. He or she will assist in the hiring of division controllers in several markets (Atlanta, Baltimore, the Carolinas, Indianapolis, Florida, Philadelphia, Minnesota) while ensuring their accounting departments operate according to the company’s strategic objectives. This person will also head the area’s annual budget planning while recommending process improvements and monitoring financial results against forecasts.
The position requires a CPA, experience with a Big 4/6/8 accounting firm, and five to 10 years of management experience. This person’s financial services background will also include several years in high-volume production homebuilding. Previous experience at the division level or above is also preferred. This builder will be looking for strong judgment, negotiation skill and past leadership. The position calls for someone who is adaptable, energetic and who can communicate well with this company’s executives, as well as the division management he or she will oversee.
