Assisting the vice president of construction, this new executive will take an end-to-end role in the management of new construction, renovations and repairs. He or she will supervise the project administrator, taking ultimate oversight of contractors, consultants and vendors. This professional will establish schedules, requirements and specifications with input from internal teams and architects while implementing general contracting activities. The senior PM also will serve as a critical liaison between clients and contractors, as well as regulatory officials and the public.
Requirements for the position include a relevant bachelor’s degree and 5-10 years of construction management experience. A background in high-rise office construction will be strongly favored. In addition to expansive knowledge of construction practices, candidates should demonstrate past success leading people and projects. This should include the ability to communicate clearly with employees at any level, as well as technical consultants, business partners and the public.
