Owner’s Rep. Sought for Global Firm’s LA High-Rise Construction

A significant opportunity has emerged for the right construction executive to represent one of the most prominent owners of commercial property in Los Angeles. This international firm has made its mark on skylines around the world while building a reputation as an exceptional employer. Its new vice president in Los Angeles will head high-rise construction, large tenant improvements and complex capital campaigns. The position is ideal for an ambitious construction or property firm executive who’s eager to make marquee projects come to life for a highly regarded name in the industry. What’s more, this professional will transition into the role with the guidance of the retiring executive vacating the position.

The new VP will coordinate all consultants, contractors, design firms and vendors, closely guarding project schedules and budgets while liaising with other members of the firm’s leadership. As the owner’s rep, this professional will assume end-to-end responsibility for contract performance and a project management team under his or her leadership. Other top-level project management duties will encompass oversight of project specification development, plan review, regulatory approvals and inspections of completed work. As such, this person’s team will work closely with multiple departments, outside architects and engineers.

The position calls for at least ten years of relevant management and supervisory experience, along with a foundation of knowledge in all aspects of construction. A bachelor’s degree is required, as are leadership skills demonstrated in prior executive roles. That should include experience with high-rise projects. This firm also is looking for excellent analytical ability, along with exceptional communication and customer service for both internal and external team members.
