Operations-Focused Property Manager Sought in Sarasota for High-Value Commercial Assets

A recognized property owner will soon take the right professional’s career to a new level overseeing high-value shopping centers, office and industrial assets in Southwest Florida. This will include a destination complex bordering a major interstate and two of the most affluent communities in Sarasota, where the position is based. At the same time, the new property manager will enjoy working for one of America’s largest privately held real estate companies, with more than 40 million square feet under management in 38 states.

This position takes in wide-reaching responsibilities for the centers under management, with a focus on property maintenance, repair and improvements. The property manager also will interact frequently with retailers, showing space and reviewing leases as needed. He or she will resolve problems, oversee enhancements to buildings and common areas and hire contractors. This is a hands-on role requiring regular inspections along with oversight of capital projects.

Candidate should bring a minimum of five years of multi-site experience overseeing retail, office or industrial centers. The firm will also consider professionals with five-plus years in retail or office construction management. The new property manager will possess proven communication and negotiation skills, as well as a high level of attention to detail. Additionally, this professional will be exceptionally organized while communicating effectively with all levels of staff, contractors, tenants and company leadership.
