As the housing market turns around, one of the nation’s leading homebuilders will give the right person an opportunity to join its land development leadership in Central Florida. He or she will take advantage of this region’s growing demand for housing while working for a company possessing solid finances, a nationally known brand and plenty of headroom for its diverse workforce. The land project manager position is ideal for an emerging leader with a civil engineering firm, architectural firm, general contractor or homebuilder – someone who’s eager to break out from behind the scenes and make projects happen.
Specifically, he or she will manage all facets of the land development process, maintaining budgets and working closely with a range of stakeholders. Duties include oversight of project schedules, trade bidding and adherence to development agreements while ensuring the accuracy of design documents and plats. Additionally, the successful candidate will liaise with municipalities and government agencies throughout the project and will coordinate with inspectors, engineers, contractors and master developers.
This company will require a bachelor’s degree, at minimum, and a PE is preferred. Candidates will be considered from a range of backgrounds, but all should bring at least five years of experience that shows their land development knowledge and the leadership skills described above. The new land project manager will be a self-starter who enjoys a considerable degree of autonomy. This leader will also be a superior communicator with people working in all areas of the project, from excavator operators to senior executives.
