National Homebuilder Hiring Land Development Professional for Hot Seattle Division

Real estate site Zillow recently predicted Seattle will be the second hottest real estate market in the country in 2014, based on strong economic fundamentals and double-digit home value increases last year. To keep up with the growth, a prominent builder will give the right land professional a chance to advance his or her career in this thriving market as a project manager. This is a large company with a diverse workforce, more than a dozen established communities in the area and plenty of room for professional advancement. This builder will offer its newest team member a competitive pay and benefits package with significant bonus potential.

The project manager will take responsibility for every element of the land development process: budgets, schedules, cash flow, trade bidding and quality control. He or she will review site plans, utility siting and potential impact fees, coordinating closely with contractors, engineers and master developers. The project manager will also liaise with local governments throughout the process. He or she will hire and manage a cohesive development team with a focus on training and continuous coaching.

The position calls for a minimum of five years of relevant experience in a related field, such as civil engineering, architecture or homebuilding. A bachelor’s degree is required, with a PE preferred. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their past management responsibilities and a thorough understanding of the development process. The company will entrust this person with a great deal of autonomy. As such, its executives are looking for a motivated leader with excellent communication skills.
