The new land development manager will oversee the creation of 400 to 500 lots annually, from raw land to finished product. He or she will be responsible for developing the relevant subcontractor base while negotiating with utility districts and keeping field managers on top of new land-use regulations. At the same time, this person will work closely with construction and purchasing managers to ensure timely project completion. The land development manager is also a key part of the acquisition process, presenting prospective land purchases to senior executives and assisting with feasibility studies.
