One of the country’s foremost retail property firms has an opening in Dallas for a professional to oversee plan reviews and manage construction as a tenant coordinator. The expanding portfolio of this publicly traded organization encompasses 24 million square feet of competitive mall space hosting the full range of national retailers. In addition to the reach and reputation this company brings to the table, the position also offers competitive compensation and bonus potential.
Responsibility for tenant build-out projects and successful tenant openings will take place while working closely with mall managers, attorneys, consultants and leasing teams. This professional will ensure that tenant plans compliment the aesthetics of the property and that plan submittals represent optimum prototype design. He or she will then coordinate landlord work and construction. This will touch on estimating, bid solicitation, contract preparation and end-to-end project management.
The company is looking for someone with two to five years of experience in retail design and/or project management, along with a bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, construction management or a related field. Candidates should bring knowledge of building codes, materials and mechanical systems. Additionally, the new tenant coordinator will be proficient in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite. The work will take place in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and the role also requires exceptional interpersonal skills.
