A national real estate organization continues Multifamily project management opportunityto look for the right person to help lead its aggressive expansion in Texas, starting with two large multi-family communities in Houston. Backed by 50 years of experience, this firm is bringing substantial private capital and some of its top people to Texas to make the most of its thriving markets. Joining them will be an experienced project manager initially overseeing a 300-plus-unit class A suburban complex and a four-story wrap product with an adjacent parking structure. This person will take responsibility for all aspects of multi-family development in the Houston market and will oversee all field construction personnel. Reporting to the Texas division manager, he or she will be a critical part of the development team from day one, providing design input related to materials and cost analysis. This professional will also take part in the negotiation and supervision of contracts, developing strong relationships with project consultants and contractors. During construction, he or she will provide the company’s leadership with regular updates and will oversee punch lists. The project manager will also be responsible for all post-closing construction issues.

Houston project management opportunityCandidates should be closely familiar with this market’s construction costs, as well as relevant government regulations to procure permits and entitlements. The position requires a minimum of five years of project management construction experience, with a related bachelor’s or master’s degree preferable but not required. Technical proficiencies should include Excel and Project, with AutoCAD a plus. Candidates should show their analytical abilities as applied to budgets and estimating, as well as an ability to communicate with a range of people inside and outside the company. The new project manager will be highly motivated, independent and skilled at leading a construction workforce.
