Substantial leadership opportunities and room for professional growth await the next vice president of construction sought by one of the most prominent names in Los Angeles property. This VP will manage a range of projects for a global company known for its marquee buildings in skylines around the world. In addition to the culture and support of an organization named one of the city’s best employers, this professional also will transition into the role with the help of the retiring executive vacating the position.

The new VP will head high-rise construction, tenant renovations and repair projects while leading a team of project managers and support staff. He or she will assume end-to-end responsibility for budgets, schedules and contract performance. This will include coordination with multiple departments, outside architects and engineers to establish project specifications and approval of plans. He or she will oversee a range of other top-level project management duties, from regulatory approvals to inspections of the completed work to ensure construction is finished on time and on budget.

This position calls for at least ten years of relevant management and supervisory experience, along with a foundation of knowledge in all aspects of construction. A bachelor’s degree is required, as are leadership skills demonstrated in prior executive roles. That should include experience with high-rise projects.
