The new general manager will be accountable for all operations-related aspects of this complex while delivering exceptional service to tenants. Reporting to the director of property management, he or she will build operational strategies to control costs and increase profitability. General and preventative maintenance, repairs, upgrades, contracted services and tenant build-out will fall within this professional’s oversight, as will management of capital projects. Regular inspections on site will ensure lease provisions are properly enforced and common areas remain in good repair. This leader also will review emergency management policies, negotiate with vendors, work with local building authorities, perform tenant inspections, prepare property budgets and create expense forecasts.
Candidates should demonstrate prior success operating complex properties, along with extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, construction and relevant regulations. This job calls for at least five years in related roles managing large commercial properties or experience overseeing multiple assets. The firm also will look for success in problem resolution and personnel management. The new general manager will be exceptionally organized while communicating effectively with all levels of staff, contractors, tenants and company leadership.
