A successful, family owned homebuilder is looking for the right leaders to help it expand in two promising southern markets. This is a company with six decades growing its business in several states. Its founders built their success on values of honesty, personal integrity and genuine customer satisfaction – traits they will share with the new division presidents.
These professionals will work in cities with growing populations, large Nissan manufacturing facilities, numerous institutions of higher education and outsized contributions to American music. The Jackson region – home to 550,000 people – is three hours from both New Orleans and the beach. Mississippi’s capital city is also home to the University of Mississippi School of Medicine.
Founding operations in these markets will require people with deep knowledge of the home building process and the entry-level market. The division presidents will oversee sales and field managers, taking ultimate responsibility for division-wide marketing, value engineering, training, profit and loss reporting, forecasting, new business development and vendor negotiation. These positions represent opportunities to create new presences in these markets, as well as the potential to advance into regional leadership in the future.
Candidates should bring solid general management experience. They should demonstrate their ability to handle multiple, changing priorities while communicating continuously with senior management. Other requirements include proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
