Class-A Multi-Family Regional Property Manager Needed for Growing D.C. Portfolio

In a position encompassing much more than property oversight, a thriving national multi-family firm focused on Class-A properties plans to hire a regional manager for its office in Rockville, Md. This company will build more than 6,000 units in hot markets across the country this year. The new regional property manager will oversee in-house management of a luxe new midrise in Northeast Washington, D.C., while working with the development team on pro-formas, market analyses, floor plans and amenity recommendations for projects going forward. He or she will also take an asset management role at existing Mid-Atlantic properties with third-party managers while directing regional staff and lease-up activities.

In addition to a competitive salary and bonus potential, the position will offer the right person the chance to showcase his or her leadership in an expanding, high-demand market. This company will hire a seasoned manager with deep knowledge of Class-A residential property. His or her background will show experience with lease-ups, budgets, property management software, Internet marketing and profit and loss reporting across multiple sites. Specifically, this position requires a professional possessing five to 10 years of residential management experience, with at least two years as a residential regional property manager. Candidates should have managed Class-A properties with 450-plus units and should have experience managing at least 15 employees. Other strengths important to the position include leadership, strategic thinking, adept communication and a high tolerance for ambiguity and change. Experience in a fast-paced growth environment is a plus.
