Reporting to the construction vice president and enjoying competitive pay, benefits and bonus potential, this new executive will tackle a wide range of management challenges. He or she will coordinate the work of internal and external stakeholders for multi-family construction projects to ensure their completion on time and on budget. This includes bid solicitation from architects, engineers and contractors with an eye to cost trends in project markets. The project manager will also represent the firm before government officials and the public while procuring permits and entitlements. During construction, this professional will conduct regular site visits and will author monthly progress reports. At completion, he or she will be responsible for final punch lists and delivering move-in ready buildings.
A relevant bachelor’s degree and five years in the construction industry are required, with high-rise experience highly preferred. This person will demonstrate successful management of a range of relevant processes and people. Previous experience with multi-family projects is mandatory, as is familiarity with building plans and regulations. The successful candidate will be skilled at presenting clear reports to the public and internal teams. The position also requires mastery of Excel and Project, with AutoCAD experience a plus.
