A professional with the right combination of commercial construction expertise and project management skills will soon have the chance to work with leading retail brands as a DFW-based estimator/construction lease coordinator. The family-owned company offering this position has developed, leased or managed more than 6.5 million square feet of commercial real estate during its 39 years in business. In addition to a growing portfolio focused on the long term, this professional will also benefit from exposure to a broad range of decision making in CRE development.

Reporting to the president of construction and the chief financial officer, the new estimator will have a significant role in managing new construction. After creating estimates for each project, he or she will coordinate with company leadership on site plans, bid review and project budgets. This professional also will prepare contracts with general contractors while coordinating with consulting professionals to ensure they have information needed to complete pre-construction engineering, platting and other tasks. Additionally, he or she will coordinate with municipalities during the permitting process. Construction schedules and delivery calendars will also fall to this professional, as will approval of tenants’ interior construction.

The scope of this position calls for an extensive background in retail construction or another field of commercial real estate. A construction-related degree is preferred. Most important, the successful candidate will have good relationships with subcontractor trades and will be able to produce reliable estimates based on current market conditions.
