Sales Leadership Needed for Fast-Growing Homebuilder in Nashville

A diversified national homebuilder will offer significant bonus potential and room for professional growth to its next general sales manager in Tennessee. Its Nashville division currently closes more than 300 homes annually, with plans to double that pace over the next three years. Reporting to the vice president of sales, the new manager will take on a broad range of leadership responsibilities while helping to make that expansion happen.

Duties include the hiring, training and ongoing review of sales staff for new communities, ensuring the team achieves the goals of its business plan. He or she will create strategies for pricing and sales efforts informed by economic forecasts and regular scrutiny of competing subdivisions. The sales manager will help review the division’s lot mix, phasing, specs and promotions, as well as its advertising strategy as part of the executive team. High-level problem resolution and customer service are also a part of the role.

This long-standing builder prefers someone with a relevant college degree, and the position requires at least one or two years of experience managing sales professionals. The successful candidate will be assertive, engaged and a natural when it comes to motivating others. He or she also will be a confident decision maker with excellent communication skills.
