National Builder Needs Land Acquisition Manager in Fast-Growing Dallas Division

A position has opened in Dallas for a land acquisition manager ready to take advantage of rapid growth, generous bonus potential and the opportunity for true leadership. This homebuilder is among the largest and most respected in the country. Its Dallas division, likewise, is expected to be in the company’s top five for capital allocation over the next two years.

The newest team member to join this effort will oversee the land acquisition process end-to-end while developing department staff. More specifically, his or her duties will include researching and locating suitable parcels for development, performing due diligence and negotiating purchase prices and contracts. This deal maker will also coordinate land entitlement, government review and planning activities with the company’s development team. He or she will monitor purchase agreements and coordinate joint venture agreements as necessary. Personnel management will encompass hiring, employee evaluation, training and continuous coaching.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, engineering or another related field. A background in homebuilding should include at least three years in land acquisition. Additionally, this company hires people who are driven, detail-oriented and who demonstrate excellent communication skills with stakeholders, both inside and outside the company.
