Growing Regional Homebuilder Hiring President

A regional builder in Pennsylvania is seeking a true leader to provide strategic thinking while guiding all aspects of its business. This established, independent company has been named one of the top-100 homebuilders in the country while retaining the values of its family ownership. With operations in dozens of communities, it seeks the right person to guide its ongoing growth.

The president will help create business plans and will be accountable for achieving the targets therein. At the same time, he or she will take ultimately responsibility for oversight of every area of the business, from land acquisition to human resources, while this company completes 350 to 500 new homes annually. This executive will build relationships with developers, contractors, consultants, civic leaders and other external partners while working closely with the CFO to maintain the financial condition of the business. Broad responsibilities will also include oversight of cost and quality control, land acquisition and leadership recruitment. He or she will also help set quarterly goals and evaluate performance.

The position calls for a relevant bachelor’s degree, with an MBA preferred. A minimum of 15 years of diverse homebuilding experience, with at least ten in management, should reflect an in-depth understanding of finance and every step of the building process. Experience managing heavy volumes on the East Coast and multi-state operations is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate experience with organizational development methodologies, team motivation and creating cultural change. The position also requires experience in process development and continuous-improvement methodologies. The successful hire will be a tenacious, entrepreneurial strategist with a collaborative style who’s accountable for team results.
