Lead Engineer Needed for Prestigious South Florida Office Property

An experienced building engineer will soon have the chance to keep 400,000 square feet of Class A office property in top shape for high-profile tenants in Weston Florida. The closely held company hiring this lead engineer has earned a reputation for building a diverse and valuable CRE portfolio across the Southeast. Its newest team member will oversee all aspects of maintenance and related operations for some of the company’s most visible assets.

He or she will continually evaluate vendor quality and pricing, ensuring timely performance of contract work on building systems. These include air conditioning, elevators, card-access equipment and life safety systems. In addition to preventative maintenance and tracking the electrical loads of critical systems, the senior engineer will oversee fulfillment of equipment warrantee obligations. He or she will spot and correct recurring problems, as well as opportunities to improve energy efficiency and building operations. During special events, this team member also will coordinate audio-visual setup and other tasks.

The company is looking for at least seven years of field experience, along with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. The position requires the ability to read blueprints and operate building management and work-order software. The successful candidate also will be collaborative and exceptionally organized.
