More than 22 experienced custom builders across the state have joined this organization’s franchise network for its proven operating format that includes an impressive portfolio of home designs, an aggressive company-financed model home program, back-office support and proprietary business systems. Backed by decades of refinement across multiple economic cycles, this business model has helped homebuilding entrepreneurs take their enterprises to a new level of success. The new group vice president will lead and support these franchisees through mentorship, business development and protection of this organization’s sterling reputation among home buyers.
Reporting to the CEO, the new Clearwater, Fla.-based VP will drive this company’s growth in existing markets across the state. He or she will be highly engaged with franchisees, offering impactful contributions to their businesses. These will include yearly plans that help participating homebuilders develop their individual business strategies, build their organizations, enhance product quality and increase profitability. The new VP will take ultimate responsibility for building the region’s volume. To do so, he or she will help franchisees set and meet their own targets for volume, working closely with these experienced builders to meet improvement goals. The VP’s leadership responsibilities will include aiding franchisees with organization building in order to meet the demands of higher business volume. Additionally, he or she will drive expansion of the company’s valuable model home network by helping franchisees gain positions in favorable communities and craft the best product for each specific market.
Requirements for the position include experience in senior operational management for a local, regional or national homebuilder. Alternately, the company will consider candidates with prior experience running a custom homebuilding company. Candidates should have exceptional people skills, as this will be crucial to facilitating growth. A well-rounded skill-set should also include a heavy emphasis on oversight of custom homebuilding operations, as well as experience in leadership, land acquisition, product development, purchasing and construction. Excellent communication and management skills are also critical to the position.
