Independent Homebuilder Hiring Vice President of Sales in Atlanta

An established, independently owned homebuilder with a presence in three states is searching for an Atlanta, Ga.-area vice president to help build its sales force and lead its growth.

This person will oversee a sales force expected to expand to as many as 40 people by the end of next year, including up to four sales managers. While serving as the face of the company in Atlanta’s real estate community, the vice president of sales also conducts competitive analyses and drives traffic to this builder’s communities, crafting sales strategies for each. He or she also will advise the marketing team on sales campaigns, promotions and Internet marketing leads.

With a growing company, its executives are also looking for someone who knows how to build a team.  Most important–  candidates’ resumes should reflect experience managing managers. This includes directing sales managers in recruitment, training and motivating the sales force. The position, which reports to the national president of sales and marketing, calls for five to 10 years of homebuilding sales management experience. Knowledge of Sales Simplicity or similar software is a plus.
