The daily responsibilities of this job will encompass tenant relations, vendor management, leasing and budgeting. Working in partnership with the property manager, this person will supervise building staff and serve as the point of contact for contractors. Each year, the assistant property manager also will contribute to budget preparation and subsequent cost analyses. Additional financial reporting, lease administration, property inspections and event coordination will also fall to this professional. Most importantly, he or she will serve as the main customer service contact for tenants and will maintain relationships with them on par with the exceptional spaces they’ve leased.
The company will entrust this position to someone who has a minimum of five years in property management. Mixed-use experience, a bachelor’s degree and an RPA or CPM designation are strongly preferred. The successful candidate’s background will show experience with budgeting, expense reconciliation, AR and AP processes and related areas of real estate finance. Working knowledge of Yardi and Voyager are a plus. At the top of the list, the company will be looking for exceptional customer service and tenant communication. The new assistant property manager will also be highly organized, team-oriented and adept at problem solving.
