The right person will oversee the full scope of the bidding process as this firm expands its successful residential communities. This opportunity will also give the successful candidate the chance to work closely with a very experienced project management team – from the first job-cost estimates to closing.
Duties include evaluating bid specs and drawings, coordinating closely with bidding subcontractors and ensuring budgets are met while tracking and reducing overages. This professional should take a creative approach to his or her job and will be expected to contribute value engineering ideas to improve this company’s already efficient processes.
Candidates should bring several years of single family residential homebuilding experience and thorough knowledge of the estimating and purchasing process. The job requires a deft ability to multitask while consistently following up with subcontractors and coworkers to keep projects on time. It also calls for experience with closings and budget roll ups for management and clients. Use of FAST software is preferred.
