A residential restoration business that’s experiencing double-digit growth with no signs of slowing down needs a leader to oversee its supply chain. This closely held company will offer its new purchasing and estimating manager generous salary and bonus potential, as well as the opportunity to implement companywide initiatives and value engineering ideas in a rapidly expanding organization.
Working in central Florida and reporting directly to ownership, this professional will take top-level responsibility for all areas of procurement while managing a staff of estimators and purchasing agents. He or she will lead negotiations with vendors and trade partners, managing product selection informed by regular market analysis and benchmarking. This manager will maintain construction budgets, analyze variances and enforce supplier standards. More broadly, he or she also will create standard contract terms and implement a new data management system.
Rehab experience is essential, as is a proven background in residential construction and contract negotiation. Candidates should possess at least five years of experience in both purchasing and estimating, along with three years in management. A relevant bachelor’s degree is required, as is a track record of conducting house takeoffs and managing job cost details. This role also requires consistent attention to detail, the ability to balance competing priorities, and a knack for problem solving.
