An ambitious construction professional will soon have the chance to join a company that’s spent the past six decades growing into one of the Southwest’s leading multifamily firms. This is an organization committed to a positive work environment and work-life balance. As well, it will offer the right person a chance to make critical contributions to large projects while building relationships with subcontractors and a range of project leadership.
The new estimator will prepare bid packages and RFPs, administering the subcontracting process throughout construction. He or she will incorporate value engineering ideas into bid requests while also ensuring requirements meet project scope. The estimator will closely monitor related schedules, develop RFIs and build rapport with new and potential contracting partners. This person also will contribute his or her expertise to the project management team by reviewing drawings and job costs for upcoming construction.
Candidates’ backgrounds in construction should include work tracking as-builts and coordinating municipal sign-offs to obtain performance and payment bond releases. The new estimator also will be a hands-on problem solver with excellent judgement and the ability to cultivate positive relationships with multiple parties to the construction process.
