Successful, Private CRE Firm Hiring Ambitious Transaction Associate Focused on Dispositions in New York/New Jersey Region

This hands-on person will assist the disposition manager with functions related to the disposition of commercial real estate, including: formulating strategies for assets’ exit, market analysis, negotiations and coordinating execution of marketing plans. He or she will assist in preparation of disposition plans for a diverse mix of industrial, retail and office properties, primarily in Northeast suburban markets. In addition to executing disposition plans for individual assets, this professional will also help manage external brokerage teams and marketing efforts. In supporting this process, the dispositions associate will also perform due diligence related tasks, review proformas, scrutinize investment projections and assess financial waterfall calculations. Collaboration within the firm will include work with the executive vice president of capital markets and the portfolio manager, as well as external investment partners, leasing agents and attorneys. Other duties will encompass various reporting, hold/sell analyses and collaboration with other internal teams on issues such as budgeting, expense monitoring and operations prior to positioning a property for a disposition.

Candidates should bring two to four years of relevant experience in asset management, analysis or transaction-related positions in commercial real estate. The firm is also looking for basic knowledge of Argus, strong Excel skills and a bachelor’s degree. Strong working knowledge of relevant real estate concepts should include an eye for marketplace opportunities and analysis. Additionally, robust communication skills are a must.
