A family owned builder known for its construction quality and award-winning architecture is hiring an associate director of design to oversee one of its collections. The position is based in Charlotte, N.C. It encompasses the design of the collection’s model homes, along with their companion plans and elevations. The associate design director is essential to maintaining the firm’s high standards for its home plans and models. Duties will also require on-site inspections and close collaboration with CAD designers, interior designers and the company’s director of design.

A minimum of five years of residential design experience is required, as is AutoCAD proficiency, experience managing other designers and familiarity with the architectural styles common in the Carolinas. Ideally, candidates should also bring a background in custom homebuilding and AIA, ICA or AIBD certification.
