A nationally recognized homebuilder with a sterling reputation and a one-of-a-kind growth strategy is searching for the right executive to head its region in the Carolinas.
More than just an operational manager, this company seeks an executive to both participate in, and help lead, its highly successful custom homebuilder franchise program. Experienced regional builders join with the company for its proven marketing strategy, impressive catalogue of home designs, back-office support and business intelligence that take their enterprises to the next level. The regional vice president will sell this opportunity, uncover new avenues for growth and work to expand the company’s thriving network of entrepreneurs.
Reporting to the group president, the successful candidate will create yearly plans that guide the expansion of the franchise program and ensure the success of its participants. He or she will set targets for new model home construction and will work closely with participating homebuilders to help them achieve the business success and product quality inherent in the program. The position also identifies new target markets and creates strategies for franchise growth within them.
Requirements for the position include broad experience in a senior management role at a regional or national homebuilding firm – for example, as a division president or division manager. Alternately, the company will consider candidates with prior experience running a custom homebuilding company with revenues in excess of $15 million. Candidates should bring a strong track record in sales, as this will be crucial to growing the franchise. A well-rounded skillset should also include experience in leadership, land acquisition, product development, purchasing and construction. Excellent communication and management skills, as well as computer proficiency, are also critical to the position.
Additionally, the successful candidate will have buy-in, independence and a potential for wealth generation that go well beyond the traditional executive position. With financing assistance from the company, all regional vice presidents within 18 months take ownership of their own franchise with a managing partner who handles day-to-day operations. In this manner, all regional executives experience first-hand the company’s innovative and proven approach to selling quality homes that its founders have developed over five decades in the business.
