Private, Long-Successful CRE Firm in NYC Area Hiring Commercial Project Coordinator

This person will help senior staff in the administration and management of development projects, in addition to independently managing tenant improvements and building modifications. These will involve budgeting, RFQs, scheduling, construction oversight, occupancy and closeout. During larger projects, the project coordinator will assist with a range of critical undertakings that include: job cost reporting, loan draw requests, pay application processes, change order approvals and construction summaries. The position also entails maintaining relevant project schedules and inspection reports, as well as the coordination of environmental permitting.

Handling these responsibilities requires an ability to collaborate in a fluid team environment. Candidates should show strong analytical, communication and time-management skills. Also required are a relevant bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of experience with a general contractor, developer, architecture firm or engineering firm that handles retail and office tenant improvements. The successful candidate will have end-to-end knowledge of the construction process, including contract negotiation, budgeting, design, permitting and reporting. Proficiency with MS Project, MRI and Argus is a plus.
