General Sales Manager Needed in New Mexico for Expanding National Builder

A public homebuilder with diverse and frequently dominant brands in dozens of markets across the United States has an opportunity for a general sales manager to join its expanding New Mexico team. A comparatively young region for this company, its markets in Albuquerque and Santa Fe have grown to include 10 communities with 15-20 sales people and further expansion on the horizon. The open position represents an opportunity for the right person to showcase his or her leadership in a role with significant bonus potential and ample room for professional growth.

This person will take bottom-line responsibility for reaching area sales goals and successfully developing the team that implements this builder’s well-tested sales approach. Additionally, the general sales manager will craft individualized sales strategies while building organizational talent. This includes recruitment, performance reviews and continuous coaching, while closely monitoring sales activities. Duties also include supervision of loan tracking, management of the contract process and assistance in developing sales forecasts.

The successful hire will be an energetic leader with a demonstrated passion for sales and developing people. Candidates should bring a bachelor’s degree with at least seven years of functional experience. Three years should be at a supervisory level, as leadership skills are crucial to this position. Experience with new home sales and proficiency with relevant software are also required.
